Topic: MARRIAGE SHIFT/FOCUS FOR THE YEAR 2025.

 

Text: Proverbs 16: 1-3

 

The Message: 

It's a fool who do things same way overtime and expect different results. 

These days we have a lot of marriage counselors yet the problem keep increasing. If we don't change our direction, the result will be same or worse. There's a need to do a 360° turn. 

What are the things to do to expect the desired marriage? Recipe for a good marriage is not hereditary. We need to have a marriage shift to enjoy marriage in year 2025. This also apply to finance and destiny.

 

First thing to do:

1. Prioritize God: People practice Christianity of convenience these days. We have too many selfish pastors these days. They compromise on God's standard to suit people. I have seen sinners use bible verse to support what they do. 

(Matthew 6vs 33) in 2025 you must seek God. Joshua 1:8 The book of law(bible) is the standard of the Lord, you'll meditate it day and night till it becomes part of your life. What determines your step. What they see in your day to day life. You can't be depressed when you have the word of God in you. You'll not be looking for prophets up and down. With God's word, you'll know his mind for you. The knowledge of God's word tells you what to do. 

As couples, you must pray together, nothing should separate your prayer altar. Attend church together. That God has given you a home is a blessing. The scripture says he that findeth a wife, finds a good thing and obtaineth mercy. You must be thankful. Many cannot thank their spouse. Do you think it's easy to take care of someone like you? Help each other to be better Christians. If you'll make heaven your spouse has a part to play.

 

2. Strategic planning:  What I discovered is that, most people don't do strategic planning for their life. You don't know what you made last year. For you to know what this year will look like you have to re-strategize. 

I. You evaluate the previous year, evaluate your personal life, spiritual life, marital life. You ask yourself, are you growing or just living? Evaluate your financial life. For you to be better than last year, you have to be strategic.

II. Elaborate 2025, set goals. Lack of strategic planning is the reason most people miss out on opportunities. If God will make you great, he'll push opportunities to you. Take opportunities now, prepare for it. Pray and let God answer your prayers. Some people are terrible in managing relationship. Plan your life, when you plan your life, it will determine who will be your friend. Some of you need to eject some people out of your lives. 

 

Things don't just happen, people make things happen. If God will do something, you must move.
